Kevin Costner Have to Pay $63,000 A Month In Child Support To Ex Christine Baumgartner

Kevin Costner and Christine Baumgartner have finalized their divorce, concluding discussions on child support payments, a contentious issue throughout their proceedings. Court documents reviewed by The Blast reveal that the “Yellowstone” star is mandated to pay Baumgartner over $63,000 per month for the support of their three children.

After a ten-month legal battle, Costner and Baumgartner have resolved their divorce, officially regaining single status on February 16, 2024. Their settlement covers spousal support, division of property, and legal fees.

Costner is solely responsible for the child support payments. According to the court filing, he will pay his ex-wife $63,209 monthly, with payments due at the start of each month. The allocation for their eldest, Cayden, 17, is $12,642 monthly. Hayes, 15, will receive $18,962, and Grace Avery, 14, is allotted $31,605, twice the amount of her siblings. Additionally, Costner is tasked with providing health insurance for the children.

While the agreed-upon $63,000 monthly payment is significant, it falls short of Baumgartner’s initial demand for $175,057 per month, or $2 million annually. Baumgartner had argued that the children should maintain a lifestyle with her that’s comparably comfortable to their experiences with their father.

Details regarding the child support payments have emerged shortly after the former couple decided to forego co-parenting classes, a decision included in their custody arrangement. Both parties have come to a private understanding, as indicated by court filings:

“IT IS STIPULATED by and between the parties, Petitioner, Christine Costner, and Respondent, Kevin Costner, that the parties be excused from, and the Court waive the necessity of them completing the Parent Education and Co-Parenting Effectively ‘P.E.A.C.E.’ class.”
